Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority Act, 2016 (No. 13 of 2016)
An Act to provide for the establishment of Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority, its mandate, the regulation of the energy sector, and for matters incidental thereto.
This Act establishes the Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority as a body corporate, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to the organization and operations of the Authority. The Act also provides with respect to licensing of regulated activities, i.e. generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and licensing of petroleum sector activities.
