WORK HIGHLIGHTS
Her notable work was advising a listed property company on the first ever establishment of a special security purpose vehicle that would hold mortgage bonds for and on behalf of credit beneficiaries in Botswana. She engaged the Registrar of Deeds and was successful in arguing that a security purpose vehicle would not contravene section 52 of the Deeds Registry Act which provides that an agent cannot hold a mortgage bond for and on behalf of a principal.

Tefo joined the Bookbinder Business Law firm in April 2018 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of Botswana in November 2013. His practice areas are dispute resolution, employment, insolvency, and restructuring.
Tefo has acted for clients across a broad range of sectors including construction and engineering, banking, and mining. He has experience advising clients in complex disputes in the areas of labour and employment law, retrenchment, employment benefits, intellectual property, construction arbitration and insolvency. He regularly advises clients on complex recoveries and corporate restructurings. In addition, Tefo has experience in general corporate, regulatory and insurance advisory work.
Tefo graduated with an LLB from the University of Botswana in October 2013. He was subsequently admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary Public. Tefo is a member of both the Law Society of Botswana and Botswana Institute of Arbitrators in good standing.

Msiya Kindiano joined the firm in 2014 and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of Botswana in 2006. Msiya advises on commercial dispute resolution, corporate risk management and recoveries, restructuring and insolvency.

Obakeng Lebotse is a Partner at Bookbinder Business Law in the Corporate Department , and Co-Head of the Conveyancing Department. He has a broad corporate (including M&A) and commercial practice and advises on all aspects of local and cross-border transactions.
Obakeng’s practice areas span a number of specialisations, with a particular emphasis on general corporate and commercial advisory, conveyancing and real estate, competition, banking and finance, debt capital markets, regulatory and compliance (including data protection), employment and labour, as well as intellectual property. Obakeng works for a global client base across a wide range of sectors, notably in financial services, tourism and hospitality, retail, and energy.
